With years of experience under our belts, we understand the engineering behind architectural decorative metals and millwork. We have a variety of methods for integrating decorative and ornamental metals into your fabrications, or we can provide design and fabrication details for all-metal items included in your scope.
No more stressing over how to build the architect’s decorative metal concept you’ve been tasked with supplying—let us provide the guidance, details, or the complete engineering for your project. We understand your work, we understand the metals, and we understand the expectations of the architects and owners. Make your engineering stand out to your customers with complete metal fabrication details that can be fabricated expertly as submitted!
Experience That Counts
Great Lakes Stainless has the fabrication experience to supply any scope of your project. Along with state of the art laser cutting and multiple metal forming machines, we have a team of talented welders and fabricators. Because of this combination, we have the metal expertise to complete your projects to a very high standard.
Setting us apart is our AWI QCP certified woodworking capabilities. From our engineering department to the shop floor, we understand woodwork and know how casework and custom fixtures are designed and fabricated. In addition to providing quality metal fabrications, we can fabricate expertly machined wood cores or other components on our CNC mill, cutter, dowel and edging machines, with material and construction to specification.
At Great Lakes Stainless. we work with most metal materials, as specified by a project’s architect and designers. In addition to stainless steel, our metals for millwork capabilities include:
- MIRROR POLISHED STAINLESS STEEL
- BRUSHED FINISHED STAINLESS STEEL
- NON-DIRECTIONAL FINISHED STAINLESS STEEL
- BLACKENED STEEL
- CORRUGATED/DISTRESSED FINISHES
- FABRICATION WITH RIMEX/RIGIDIZED/FORMS + SURFACES ETC.
Beyond Decorative Metals
On top of our skilled experience with decorative and custom metals, we can also perform our own custom millwork. Although the mediums are very different, a testament to a consistent focus on quality and craftsmanship is our continued active membership in AWI, including certification in their QCP program (and the ISO 9001:2015 certification is a bit unique in the industry, too). In our humble opinion, where we really shine is the integration of decorative metals and custom millwork. From airports to casinos and serving counters to ticket counters, we have the capability to integrate both mediums into a quality, eye-catching product. Click here to see some of our recent work.
